The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology focuses on the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of oral and maxillofacial disorders. It combines the fields of oral medicine, which involves the diagnosis and management of oral diseases, and oral radiology, which focuses on the use of imaging techniques to diagnose and evaluate oral conditions. This speciality bridges traditional areas of health, between medicine and dentistry as it deals with the oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
